Hey bats and spooks!
I'm sorry I've been gone for a while. This summer has been extra hard on me, both mentally and physically, and I've spent most of it on my couch with Candy Crush and a cup of tea. Struggling with depression can be extremely exhausting and getting things done can be impossible, even if they're fun things like blogging.
If you're following me on Instagram you've already seen this but I thought I'd share it here as well. :)
I've got to say, fuck it's hard to find a matte, vibrant lavender purple eyeshadow! The one I've used here is a mixture of four or five different shades. Do you have any purples like this that you can recommend?
Thanks a lot for stopping by! I hope you all have had a lovely summer this far.

As I mentioned in an earlier post I've been in a very Halloweeny mood lately. Here in Sweden we don't really celebrate Halloween, but I used to host a yearly Halloween party as a kid and I've been yearning to recreate that spooky feeling of anticipation that the end of October always brought with it. So this year I will actually celebrate with some kind of festivity.
Anyway, the day-dreaming about late autumn and its spooky aura has sent my gothic mind into a creative frenzy and here is another result of that. As much as this is a Halloween-appropriate look for most people I would totally wear this for everyday occasions. What about you? :)
Kat Von D; Nosferatu liquid lipstick, as a base to achieve that dried blood feeling, Jet eyeshadow, Pink Opal as the highlight in the middle of the eyelid and Tattoo liner in Trooper
Sugarpill; Tako and Love+
Anastasia Beverly Hills; Venetian red and Red Ochre
Thank you so much for stopping by!

The other day I finally got around to do a new eye look. I have huge problems starting new projects (and finishing them...) and I've had zero patience to spare for all the steps involved in learning how to take decent pictures with my "new" camera. But I finally did it, and I'm quite happy with how it turned out. :)
•Sugarpill Tako, Acidberry and Poison Plum
•Kat Von D eyeshadow in Jet and Tattoo Liner in Trooper
I've been in a very Halloweeny mood lately and my mind has conjured up various ideas for new looks that I want to do. But then it comes down to actually do them, so only time will tell how that story goes. ;)
Thank you so much for stopping by and if you feel like it leave a comment in the section below before you leave!
Stay spooky until next time!

Here's a super-neutral (well, to me at least...) look that I wore for work on Tuesday last week. One of my lovely co-workers has started a fun little makeup challenge where she's given the rest of us one product for each day of the week that we are to incorporate in our makeup look that day. This day it was the paint pot Nice Composure. Here I've used that product on all elements of my makeup look; as eyeshadow, lipstick, for my brows and as a contour.
What colors would you use to create a neutral look yet keep your spookiness?
I hope you all will be having a nice weekend!

Finally I managed to create an interesting makeup look to show you. Although I've had my "new" camera for over two years now I still struggle with it to get even decent pictures so here I've used the camera on my husbands phone. And then I ended up having anxiety about not using my advanced, expensive camera... Blah!
Well, here's the look anyways...
Idun Norrsken foundation, Jorunn
MAC Pro Longwear concealer, NW10
Kat Von D, Jet and Bone
MAC Modern Twist, Squid
